A Smarter Approach to Lasting Weight Loss
Weight loss isn’t always as simple as eating less and moving more. Our medical weight loss program takes a personalized approach to your health, goals, and progress—giving you professional guidance, ongoing support, and a plan designed to help you move forward.
Why Patients Choose Medical Weight Loss
If losing weight has felt frustrating, inconsistent, or harder than it should be, you’re not alone. Your body, health history, lifestyle, habits, and other individual factors can all play a role in your ability to lose weight and maintain your progress. Medical weight loss gives you something another diet plan can’t: a healthcare provider in your corner.
At Above & Beyond, we start by getting to know where you are today and where you want to go. From there, we can develop a medically guided plan, monitor your progress, and make adjustments along the way.
Because successful weight management shouldn’t be about chasing the next quick fix. It should be about finding an approach that works for you.
Your Plan Should Fit More Than Your Goal Weight
Two people can have the same amount of weight they’d like to lose and need completely different approaches to getting there. That’s why your journey begins with a consultation, not a predetermined treatment.
We’ll discuss your health history, previous weight-loss efforts, current lifestyle, concerns, and goals. When appropriate, your provider can also incorporate objective information such as labs and body-composition measurements to develop a clearer picture of your health.
From there, we’ll discuss the options that may be appropriate for you and create a plan designed to be followed, evaluated, and adjusted over time.
Go Beyond the Scale
See Your Progress Differently with InBody
Your weight can tell you whether the number on the scale has changed. It can’t tell you what changed.
An InBody Scan provides a more detailed look at your body composition, including measurements such as skeletal muscle mass, body fat, and body water.
For patients participating in medical weight management, this can establish a useful baseline and provide another way to evaluate progress over time.
Losing pounds may be part of your goal, but understanding how your body is changing gives those pounds more context.
What Can Medical Weight Loss Help You Work Toward?
Laser and light-based treatments can address several different aesthetic concerns without surgery. Some treatments focus on refreshing the skin, while others are designed to target unwanted hair, visible vessels, pigmentation, tattoo ink, or concerns involving the scalp and hair.
Depending on the treatment selected, laser services may help improve:

Common Questions About Medical Weight Loss:
What happens at my first medical weight loss consultation?
Your first appointment is an opportunity to talk through your health history, previous weight-loss efforts, current lifestyle, concerns, and goals. Your provider can then determine what additional information may be needed and discuss appropriate options for building your plan.
Do you prescribe weight loss medications?
Medication may be an option for appropriate patients as part of medically guided weight management. Whether medication is appropriate—and which treatment makes sense—requires an individual evaluation rather than a one-size-fits-all recommendation.
Will I need lab work before starting a weight loss program?
That depends on your health history and the treatment being considered. Your provider will let you know whether laboratory testing or other evaluation is appropriate before beginning treatment.
How quickly should I expect to lose weight?
There isn’t one healthy or realistic timeline that applies to everyone. Your starting point, treatment plan, individual response, habits, and health can all influence progress. Your provider will help establish expectations based on your particular situation.
What if I've tried to lose weight before and gained it back?
Previous attempts are useful information – not a reason you can’t make progress. Tell your provider what you’ve tried, what worked temporarily, where you struggled, and what happened afterward. That history can help inform a different approach this time.
How does an InBody Scan help with weight loss?
A traditional scale measures total body weight. InBody provides additional body-composition measurements, including body fat and skeletal muscle mass. When used over time, those measurements can provide additional context about how your body is changing throughout your program.
What happens after I reach my goal weight?
Reaching a target isn’t necessarily the end of weight management. Your provider can discuss an appropriate long-term strategy based on your progress, treatment, health, and goals rather than assuming the same approach should continue indefinitely.

I absolutely love this place. I will never go anywhere else. The entire staff is fantastic. I met with Krista this morning to discuss different weight loss injectable options as well as peptides. She was so sweet and so informative. She gave me so much information about each of them, the benefits, what they do, how often to inject, etc.
