ADD & ADHD Treatment
Find a better way to focus, organize & move forward.
ADD and ADHD can affect much more than your ability to pay attention. When focus, organization, time management, restlessness, or impulsivity begin making everyday life harder, the right support can make a meaningful difference. Above & Beyond provides personalized ADD and ADHD evaluation and treatment for adults and adolescents ages 12 and older.
ADD & ADHD Can Look Different for Everyone
ADHD doesn’t always look like someone who simply “can’t sit still.” For some people, the biggest challenge is staying focused. Others struggle with organization, procrastination, forgetfulness, impulsivity, or feeling constantly overwhelmed by everything they need to get done.
These challenges can show up differently at school, work, home, and in relationships—and they can change as you move through different stages of life.
At Above & Beyond, we take the time to understand what you’re experiencing and how it’s affecting you, rather than assuming every person with ADHD needs the same kind of care.
More Than a Checklist of Symptoms
Thoughtful Evaluation Comes First
Recognizing yourself in a list of ADHD symptoms doesn’t automatically mean you have ADHD. Difficulty concentrating, low motivation, restlessness, forgetfulness, and problems sleeping can occur for many different reasons. That’s why care at Above & Beyond begins by listening to your experience and looking at the bigger picture.
Your provider will consider your symptoms, history, how long you’ve experienced these challenges and determine what kind of treatment or support makes sense for you.
Common Signs of ADD & ADHD
Difficulty Focusing
Staying engaged with conversations, schoolwork, work responsibilities, or everyday tasks can require more effort than it seems like it should.
Organization & Time Management
Deadlines, schedules, appointments, responsibilities, and even everyday routines can become difficult to keep organized.
Forgetfulness
Frequently losing things, forgetting appointments, or overlooking responsibilities can create frustration at home, school, or work.
Procrastination
Starting or completing tasks—especially ones that feel repetitive, complicated, or uninteresting—may be particularly challenging.
Restlessness
ADHD can involve physical restlessness, but it can also feel like an internal sense of always needing to be doing or thinking about something.
Impulsivity
Speaking, acting, spending, interrupting, or making decisions before having time to fully think them through can sometimes be part of ADHD.
A Personalized Approach to ADD & ADHD
Treatment isn’t simply about helping you concentrate for a few more hours. The goal is to understand the challenges that are getting in your way and develop a plan that helps you function better in everyday life. Above & Beyond provides psychiatric evaluation, psychoeducation, medication management, and brief therapeutic modalities as part of individualized mental health care.

Common Questions About ADD & ADHD Care:
What's the difference between ADD and ADHD?
ADD is an older term commonly used to describe attention difficulties without prominent hyperactivity. Today, these symptoms fall under the diagnosis of ADHD, which can present in different ways. Many people still search for and use the term ADD, so you’ll see both terms used throughout our site.
How do I know if I actually have ADHD?
Difficulty concentrating by itself doesn’t necessarily mean ADHD. A proper evaluation considers your symptoms, history, how long the challenges have been present, and how they’re affecting different areas of your life.
Can you have ADHD without being hyperactive?
Yes. ADHD can involve predominantly inattentive symptoms, which may include difficulty focusing, staying organized, following through on tasks, or remembering responsibilities without obvious physical hyperactivity.
Can adults be diagnosed with ADHD?
Yes. Although ADHD begins in childhood, it can continue into adulthood and may not be recognized until later in life. Increasing responsibilities at work, home, or in relationships can sometimes make longstanding difficulties more noticeable.
At what age does Above & Beyond treat ADHD?
Above & Beyond provides ADD and ADHD treatment for adults and adolescents ages 12 and older.
Does ADHD treatment always require medication?
No. Treatment should be individualized. Medication may be appropriate for some patients, while education, behavioral strategies, therapeutic support, or a combination of approaches may also play a role. Your provider will discuss the options that make sense for you.
What types of medication are used for ADHD?
Different prescription medications may be considered depending on the individual patient. Rather than assuming a particular medication is right for you, your provider will review your health, symptoms, previous treatment, and other relevant factors before discussing appropriate options.
