PRP & PRF Treatment
Put your own biology to work. PRP and PRF treatments use components derived from your blood to support your skin’s natural regenerative processes—helping improve skin quality and create a fresher, healthier-looking appearance over time.
Your Skin Already Has the Tools. We Put Them to Work.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) begin with a simple blood draw. Your blood is then processed to concentrate platelets and other components involved in the body’s healing response before being strategically reintroduced into the treatment area. Platelets contain growth factors that play a role in tissue repair and regeneration.
Rather than creating an immediate cosmetic change with a synthetic filler, these treatments are designed to encourage gradual improvement in the skin itself. Depending on your concerns and treatment plan, PRP or PRF may be used to address areas where you’re noticing changes in texture, firmness, overall skin quality, or signs of aging.
PRP vs. PRF: What’s the Difference?
They start in the same place—with you—but the way your blood is processed creates two different preparations.
PRP | Platelet-Rich Plasma
PRP concentrates platelets within the plasma portion of your blood. Once applied to targeted areas, those platelets release growth factors involved in the body’s repair processes. PRP has been studied for several aesthetic applications, including skin rejuvenation and hair restoration.
PRF | Platelet-Rich Fibrin
PRF is processed differently and forms a fibrin matrix containing platelets and other blood components. Unlike typical PRP preparation, PRF is prepared without anticoagulants. Research comparing the two for facial rejuvenation has examined PRF’s potential for a more sustained release of growth factors.
A Different Approach to Looking Refreshed
Some aesthetic treatments change the way muscles move. Others replace or restore volume. PRP and PRF take a different approach by focusing on the regenerative potential of components already found in your blood.
That makes them an interesting option for patients who care less about creating an immediate transformation and more about improving the way their skin looks and feels over time. Results develop gradually, and individual responses vary. The goal is improvement that feels less like something was added and more like your skin has been given an opportunity to work a little harder for itself.
What Can PRP & PRF Help Improve?
Because no two patients—or treatment areas—are exactly alike, your provider will help determine whether PRP, PRF, or another treatment is best suited to what you’re seeing.
Depending on your individual needs, PRP or PRF may be incorporated into a treatment plan to help address:
Fine lines and early signs of aging
Crepey or thinning-looking skin
Under-eye concerns
Skin texture and overall quality
Areas that could benefit from rejuvenation
Certain hair and scalp concerns

What to Expect
A Simple Blood Draw
Your appointment begins with collecting a small amount of blood, which is then processed to prepare the PRP or PRF used for your treatment.
Precise, Personalized Treatment
Your provider carefully places the prepared product into targeted areas based on your anatomy and treatment goals.
Gradual Improvement
This isn’t designed to create an overnight transformation. Improvements develop over time as your skin responds to treatment.
A Plan Built Around You
Some patients may benefit from a series of treatments, while others may incorporate PRP or PRF into a larger aesthetic plan. We’ll recommend a schedule based on your goals and how you respond.
Interested in PRP or PRF?
You don’t need to arrive knowing whether you want PRP, PRF, or something else entirely. Tell us what you’re noticing and what you’d like to change. From there, we’ll help you understand your options and create a treatment plan designed around you.
Common Questions About PRP and PRF Treatment:
What is the difference between PRP and PRF?
Both are prepared from your own blood, but they’re processed differently. PRP concentrates platelets within plasma, while PRF creates a fibrin matrix containing concentrated blood components. Your provider can determine which preparation is better suited to the area and concern being treated.
Are PRP and PRF the same as filler?
No. Dermal fillers add or restore volume using an injectable product. PRP and PRF are blood-derived treatments intended to support regenerative processes within the treated tissue, so they serve a different purpose.
How quickly will I see results?
Think gradual rather than immediate. Your skin needs time to respond, so improvements can continue to develop following treatment rather than appearing all at once.
Can PRF be used under the eyes?
For appropriate patients, it may be considered for certain under-eye concerns. Because dark circles, hollowness, thin skin, and pigmentation can have different causes, we’ll evaluate the area before deciding whether PRF is the right approach.
How many treatments will I need?
That depends on what we’re treating and what you’d like to accomplish. Your provider may recommend a series of treatments or ongoing maintenance rather than applying the same schedule to everyone.
Is there downtime after PRP or PRF treatment?
Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, or bruising can occur around application sites. We’ll walk you through what to expect and provide specific aftercare instructions for your treatment.
Can PRP or PRF be combined with other aesthetic treatments?
Yes, when appropriate. They may be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside services that address different aspects of aging or skin quality. The combination we recommend will depend on your individual goals.
