It Started With Seeing a Better Way
Before founding Above & Beyond, Bailey Baker spent years caring for patients in family medicine and psychiatric mental health. Again and again, she saw how difficult it could be to truly understand a patient when healthcare moved too quickly.
Symptoms could be addressed without enough time to explore the bigger picture. Patients could leave with an answer, but not always with the feeling that someone had really listened.
Bailey believed healthcare could be different.
She envisioned a practice where providers had the opportunity to slow down, build meaningful relationships, and consider the many factors that influence how someone feels—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
That idea became Above & Beyond: a place designed to provide thoughtful, individualized care and help people feel more confident in the decisions they make for themselves.

Bailey’s own clinical background spans both family and psychiatric mental healthcare, and the practice has expanded to include providers across these disciplines.
